The HSR is divided into the three areas of education and training, application-oriented research and development as well as administration and administration. The HSR is supported by the cantonal cantons of St.Gallen, Schwyz and Glarus, which is justified by a sponsoring agreement. Political representatives as well as exponents from the economy form the university council, which is responsible for the strategic leadership of the HSR: four representatives from the canton of St.Gallen, two representatives from the canton of Schwyz and a representative from the Canton of Glarus. At the same time, the representatives of the economy are the presidents of the expert committees of the study programs. The management of the school is carried out by the school management, which consists of the rector, the vice-president, the vice-president and the administrative director. The departments for quality management, didactics / methodology and equality are attached to the head offices of the school management. The departments of the management department offer various types of services. These can be used by students and employees as well as other interested parties. The HSR as an employer The HSR is a major employer in the region: around 600 employees work for the HSR - many of them part-time. About 70 professors and 180 lecturers teach in education and training. In application-oriented research and development, around 250 scientific employees are active, with around 100 employees in the administration. The HSR trains more than 10 learners.
